Glendale's Jordin Sparks going on tour with Alicia Keys

Glendale's Jordin Sparks is quickly becoming one of ``American Idol's" more successful winners, and Saturday, she'll go on tour with one of pop music's biggest names.

Sparks, who already has two hit singles, will be the opening act for Alicia keys.

Sparks says her last touring experience was with the ``American Idols Live" tour last summer.

``It's definitely going to be different because I am opening and I've never done that before," Sparks said. "And with the Idol tour, it was a lot more intense. We did 56 cities in 59 days or something like that. This tour is kind of, like, do a couple of days, have a couple of days off."

Sparks is a big Keys' fan.

``I've been a fan of her music and I sang her song, `Fallin,' I don't know how many times. I can't wait to go. I'm so excited."

She hopes Keys won't be too busy to hang out.

``I hope on this tour, I'll be able to sit with her at least once 'cause I know she's super, super, super busy. Like just coming back from her European tour. But, maybe I'll get to talk with her, I hope I can."
