School bus catches fire in Mesa, students, driver escape uharmed

PHOENIX — A small group of students was safe Thursday after a bus taking them to their Mesa school caught fire.
Mesa Fire and Medical said no one aboard was injured. There were four special-education students riding, along with the driver and another adult. The electrical fire appeared to have started in the engine.
The bus was at Country Club Drive near Brown Road when it ignited.
