PHOENIX — Bonneville Phoenix announced Monday that KTAR News 92.3 FM will host “Hispanic in Arizona,” a special two-hour community roundtable with one hour broadcast exclusively in Spanish.

“Hispanic in Arizona” will look at the special history of Latinos in our state, discuss the issues currently facing the community, and ponder the future of Arizona’s ever-changing multicultural makeup.

“Our goal at KTAR News is to be the voice for a better Arizona and connect with our community in a meaningful way,” said Ryan Hatch, Bonneville Phoenix Vice President of Content and Operations. “We’re very proud to be the first English-speaking radio station in Arizona history to host a show in Spanish.”

“Hispanic in Arizona” will air Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m., with the first hour hosted in English by former CBS5 news anchor Catherine Anaya, and the second hour hosted in Spanish by former Univision anchor Mary Rabago. The community panel will include James Garcia, Dulce Juarez and Enrique Medina Ochoa.

In addition to “Hispanic in Arizona,” Bonneville Phoenix will produce other special programming celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, including player features in Arizona Diamondbacks statewide radio broadcasts and long-form news features on Arizona’s Morning News.

We want to hear from you.
