PHOENIX – A man died Wednesday morning after being pinned between a truck and a loading dock at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, authorities said.

The Phoenix Police Department said officers responded to the scene, a loading facility on the southern part of the airport property, around 6 a.m. after getting a call about an injured man.

They found 50-year-old Scott Morris trapped against a loading dock by a tractor trailer.

Morris was pronounced dead at the scene by Phoenix Fire responders, police said.

Police said impairment did not appear to be a factor for the driver of the truck.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is coordinating with Phoenix police on the investigation.
