PHOENIX — The West Valley will get a taste of the world’s largest drive-through animated light show this holiday season.

World of Illumination will light up Glendale’s Westgate shopping center beginning in late November, according to a press release.

The show, which debuted in 2017, will also return to the East Valley at Tempe Diablo Stadium.

“We are so excited to bring World of Illumination to Glendale,” Simon Kreisberger, co-founder of World of Illumination, said in the release. “Westgate is the center of this vibrant community and the perfect backdrop for the West Valley’s newest holiday tradition.”

World of Illumination features almost 2 million lights synchronized with popular holiday music.

The Glendale route is about a mile long and takes about 25 minutes to complete, according to the release.

It will exclusively feature a 36-foot tall animated snowman, billed as the largest in the world.

Both locations will also have a 3D component for the first time, the release said.

Last year, World of Illumination had a location in north Phoenix at Interstate 17 and Jomax Road.

Tickets for the light show are $22.99 per vehicle on weeknights and $32.99 on weekends.

The locations will be open from 6-10 p.m. Monday-Friday and 6-11 p.m. weekends and holidays.

The show opens Nov. 20 and will run through Jan. 5.
