PHOENIX — A national business magazine has rated Arizona as the sixth-best state for business.

Chief Executive surveyed CEOs, who bumped Arizona up four spots from last year. The state scored well in taxations and regulations, workforce quality and living environment.

“This is exciting news for Arizona, and a true testament to the work we have been doing to attract businesses to our state,” Gov. Jan Brewer said in a statement.

Texas ranked No. 1, followed by Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Indiana, rounding out the top five. California was last.
