PHOENIX — An empty space on Tempe’s Mill Avenue that was once home to a Hooters restaurant will be occupied by Varsity Tavern.

The company currently has a location in Fort Worth, Texas. It has leased space at 501 S Mill Avenue, according to Phoenix Business Journal. Their space will be on the second and third floors of that building and cover 10,925 of interior space, as well as a 3,400 square-foot patio, the Journal wrote.

The Texas location has food, drinks, bottle service, live music and games like corn hole and giant Jenga.

The stretch of Mill Avenue between University Drive and Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe near Arizona State University’s main campus is already home to a stretch of bars and restaurants.
