It’s common knowledge that the summers in Phoenix are going to be very, very hot, while the rest of the seasons will be quite pleasant for citizens and tourists. What might not be common knowledge is how Phoenix summers are coming earlier and staying later, and have been for over a century.

The National Weather Service reported that a common trend has happened in the Valley since 1900.

The most eye-popping trend is the date of the last 110-degree day in Phoenix. Over the last century, the Valley is getting that last brutal heat day 31 days later than it did at the beginning of the century.

If the trend continues. Phoenix may have a permanent summer season.
