PHOENIX — A crash temporarily closed the eastbound US 60 on Thursday afternoon, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
The crash happened just before Gilbert Road. It closed the freeway for a short time. The two left lanes were reopened about 3:40 p.m.
Traffic cameras showed a large emergency vehicle presence.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area and consider taking the eastbound Loop 202 or surface streets as an alternative. Major delays are expected.
