Weekend freeway restrictions Oct. 5-8

Drivers around the Valley can expect a relatively restriction-free weekend, but a few obstacles will still be in place.

• Southbound Interstate 17 will be down to two lanes between Union Hills Drive and Bell Road from 11 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Sunday for sign foundation work.

• McDowell Road will be closed overnight between Cotton Lane and Clubhouse Drive from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for Loop 303-related construction.

• Northbound I-17 drivers will temporarily use a new ramp at Cordes Lakes Road to connect with westbound State Route 69 to Prescott.
