PHOENIX – Nearly 100 people were left without a home after a fire swept through an apartment building in Phoenix early Friday.

Fire Capt.Todd Keller said in an email the blaze started around 3:30 a.m. on an upper floor at a complex near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road.

The fire had spread from the second floor to the third floor by the time crews arrived.

There were no reported injuries.

About 90-100 residents were evacuated, authorities said.

It was the second apartment building fire on Indian School Road this week.

A two-story multiresidential structure under construction at 12th Street burned down Tuesday.

Nearby buildings were saved from the flames.

The cause of both blazes are under investigation.
