PHOENIX — In the wake of Sen. John McCain’s death from cancer last weekend, people across the country have shared their memories of the Arizona senator from his many years of service.

Here at KTAR News 92.3 FM, our hosts have no shortage of stories featuring the late senator.

From Larry Gaydos of Mac & Gaydos talking about his crush on McCain’s daughter, Meghan, to Pamela Hughes of Bruce St. James and Pamela Hughes talking about her interaction with McCain as a rookie reporter, there is no doubt that McCain left his mark on our studio.

As hundreds of people gathered at the Arizona Capitol on Wednesday, what would have been McCain’s 82nd birthday, take a moment to reminisce on some of the fond memories that the senator has left behind.

KTAR News 92.3 FM will air commercial-free coverage of the Arizona memorial service for Sen. John McCain from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday.
