Arizona’s Chloe Cundiff knows all about giving back.
The nine-year-old girl started a lemonade stand about three years ago and raised almost $10,000 that will go toward cancer research from her non-profit, Colleen’s Dream Foundation.
The non-profit was started by her parents shortly after her grandmother, nicknamed Gigi, passed away from ovarian cancer.
“The best thing I learned was how to talk to new and interesting people and build my confidence in public speaking,” Chloe said in a press release.
Colleen’s Dream Foundation, which is named after her grandmother, is a non-profit organization where the primary goal is help raise money for early detection research for ovarian cancer.
Chloe also participated in the “Take a Lemonade Stand” program, which donated 100 lemonade stands to Arizona children this past summer to teach them entrepreneurial skills. The children sold lemonade from June 21 to Oct. 1.
Custom lemonade stands were donated by bluemedia and Duality PR.
“It’s amazing to see kids like Chloe embrace community stewardship and exhibit incredible entrepreneurial spirit at such a young age,” said Darren Wilson, bluemedia’s president. “As a company, we’ve been very passionate about giving back to charitable programs that support kids and entrepreneurs. So, seeing this next generation of kids carry the torch is especially inspiring,” the press release said.
But Chloe isn’t stopping with her latest donation.
Now, she is selling cookies by the dozen to raise money for ovarian cancer research.
