Dope floats: Pinal County deputies find toilet full of marijuana

PHOENIX — A Casa Grande man’s dream of freedom went down the drain, which is more than can be said of the four pounds that he is accused of trying to flush down a toilet.
Pinal County authorities arrested Christopher Cruz and charged him with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and destruction of evidence.
Detectives serving a warrant at the home found the suspect in the bathroom and marijuana floating in the toilet bowl.
“I’m sure he now wishes he invested in a plunger for his house …,” Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said.
