PHOENIX — The Phoenix Coyotes are one step closer to staying in the Valley.

The Glendale City Council has tentatively approved an arena management deal with
potential team owner Greg Jamison. According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the 20-year, $308 million deal will have to be finalized at another vote, possibly by the end of the month.

The plan, which had been revised, was OK’d late Tuesday night.

The Coyotes have been owned by the NHL for three years.
