Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer’s oldest son dies at 54

PHOENIX – Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said that her oldest son died over the weekend.
Ronald Richard “Ron” Brewer died in his sleep Saturday, according to an obituary posted to Twitter by his mother. He was 54.
The obituary did not list a cause of death.
In a tweet posted Monday night, Jan Brewer, 74, the governor from 2009 to 2015, said she was heartbroken over the unexpected loss.

Ron Brewer was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Phoenix, according to the obituary. He went to a private high school in Provo, Utah.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale.
The funeral service will be at Life in Christ Lutheran, 14802 N. 75th Ave., Peoria, on Thursday at 11 a.m.
A reception will follow immediately afterward.
Ron Brewer is also survived by his father, John, and younger brother Michael.
