PHOENIX — Traffic was snarled on the westbound Interstate 10 early on Sunday morning after a crash near the split interchange at 24th Street forced the Interstate to close down.
The interstate was reopened at approximately 8:45 a.m. later that morning.
Diverted cars were being sent to the Interstate 17 instead.
Cars diverted to I-17 were allowed to rejoin the I-10 at the stack interchange.
Eastbound traffic on the I-10 was unaffected by the crash.
Based on a photo from the @ArizonaDOT Twitter account, there was an ambulance, firetruck and police on the scene.
