PHOENIX — Phoenix Startup Week kicks off for the third year in a row on Monday.

The five-day event, held every February, celebrates the local Phoenix startup community and features events for those interested in entrepreneurship.

The Valley’s entrepreneurship leaders created the startup event in 2015 to help other local entrepreneurs through discussing topics such as funding, marketing, sales training, mentoring sessions with CEOs and more.

Attendees can learn what it takes to build a startup company and how to make and their keep businesses prosperous.

Events will be held at five locations in the Valley such as the Arizona Science Center, ASU’s Tempe Memorial Union, Grand Canyon University, and more for panels, presentations, mentoring, networking opportunities, keynote speakers, and more.

Also on Monday, JPMorgan Chase will announce that it will give $925,000 to $1 million in grants to nonprofit organizations that support programs for women- and minority-owned businesses.

Chase will award the grants to eight nonprofits throughout Arizona at the Phoenix Startup Week opening event.

Tickets are free to register for the week’s activities and can be obtained online.
