Light rail to extend New Year’s Eve service hours

The light rail will run through 2 a.m. Tuesday to ensure New Year’s Eve revelers get home safely.
“Light rail is going to run until 2 a.m. tonight, so that’s going to give anyone who is going to be enjoying themselves along the light rail line a really good option to get home safely,” said Melissa Quillard with Valley Metro.
For those attending the Tempe Block Party, bus service will run until 2 a.m. in that area.
Buses and light rail will operate on a holiday schedule on Tuesday. Service will return to normal on Wednesday.
