Babeu: Obama concealing truth in Fast and Furious

Jun 20, 2012, 8:10 AM | Updated: 2:32 pm

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said Wednesday President Obama’s asserting executive privilege to hold back documents in the Fast and Furious gun case is an effort to hide the truth.

That gunwalking scandal put hundreds of weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. House Republicans are considering holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for his failure to turn over more Justice Department documents on the botched operation.

“There’s hundreds of people who have been murdered in Mexico by these guns that our government, Eric Holder, gave to these violent criminals.”

Babeu said Fast and Furious guns were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in 2010.
