A Valley mom continues to spread holiday cheer in honor of her son, Junior.
“In September 2010, there was an accident with a barbeque grill,” Sandra Paredes said. “He was burned over 95 percent of his body and only lived six days.”
Since her son’s death, Sandra Paredes has been collecting new toys and delivering them personally to the sick children at Maricopa Medical Center where her son died.
“It’s bittersweet,” she said. “It’s sweet to see the kids smile, but I remember everything that happened when I was here.”
The annual event has been named, “Junior’s Christmas Blessings.”
