PHOENIX — Arizona has plenty of places to stay active, and a few of the best are in the Valley.

According to a recent ranking by WalletHub, a financial and industry social network, Glendale is one of the best cities in the Valley for active living.

The study looked into how well cities were supporting active lifestyles by taking into account things such as the number of golf courses, trails and parks.

Tamra Ingersoll with the City of Glendale said it has plenty of places to get up and move.

The city has more than 40 baseball fields, over 35 volleyball and tennis courts and 54 basketball courts. It also has about 40 miles of trails and nearly 100 playground structures.

Mesa, Scottsdale and Chandler also made the list.
