Shooting victim found dead in driveway outside Phoenix home

PHOENIX – Police are investigating a homicide after a shooting victim was found dead in a Phoenix driveway on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The man was on the ground in front of a home near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road in the Maryvale neighborhood when officers responded to the scene at 12:40 p.m., the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release Monday.

Emergency personnel from the Phoenix Fire Department pronounced the man dead at the scene. He was identified as 69-year-old Marino Lopez Serrano.

Police are working to determine what led to the shooting.
