Vacant house goes up in flames in central Phoenix on Tuesday

PHOENIX — A vacant house in central Phoenix was destroyed in a fire Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The house near 12th Street and Osborn Road was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

Crews set up for a defensive operation and prevented the blaze from spreading to the home next door.

Nobody was injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
