Arizona Restaurant Week starts Friday with new $55 option on menu

PHOENIX – A pricier option has been added to the menu for the fall 2021 edition of Arizona Restaurant Week, which kicks off Friday.

At least 150 metro Phoenix venues are taking part in the Arizona Restaurant Association’s 10-day event by offering special three-course prix fixe meals, usually a selection of appetizers, entrées and desserts.

The Arizona Restaurant Week website makes it easy for diners to narrow down their choices, with searches sortable by name, type of food, city and price.

Nearly half of the participating restaurants have a takeout option.

Prices start as low as $33 per couple, but most meals run $33 or $44 per diner.

And for the first time in the event’s 14-year history, organizers increased the cap to $55 to account for rising prices across the industry.

“The new price option this year will allow restaurants to raise the bar on their offerings for guests,” Steve Chucri, Arizona Restaurant Association president and CEO, said in a press release.

After enjoying their meals, patrons can help those in need by donating to HonorHealth’s Desert Mission Food Bank and other programs through a QR code accompanying their checks.

Arizona Restaurant Week runs from Sept. 17 to Sept. 26.

We want to hear from you.
