2-vehicle head-on collision leaves 5 hospitalized in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A two-vehicle collision in Phoenix left five people hospitalized on early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. near the intersection of 67th Avenue and Thomas Road.
The head-on collision caused a 19-year-old woman to be transported to a local hospital in extremely critical condition in addition to a 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman in critical condition, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
The other two people, a 50-year-old woman and 53-year-old man, were also transported to a hospital in stable condition.
Traffic is restricted in the area of 67th Avenue from Earl Drive to Osborn Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department
No other information was made immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
