PHOENIX — A hot week in Phoenix highlighted by the warmest November day in city history will soon be replaced by cooler temperatures and rain chances.

The high temperature in Phoenix is forecast to reach 93 degrees Friday but will drop to 76 on Saturday and to 63 degrees on Monday.

Rain is also a possibility, with a 40% chance for Saturday. Rain chances are 20% on Sunday and 30% for Monday.

Phoenix hasn’t had measurable rain since Aug. 20 when nine-tenths of an inch was recorded.

It’ll be a drastic change from earlier in the week, when high temperatures were consistently in the 90s.

The mercury reached 97 degrees at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, making it the hottest November day in the city’s history.

For those looking to escape north for the weekend, temperatures will be even chillier and snow is likely.

Flagstaff has an 80% chance for precipitation on Saturday with a high of 53 degrees and a low of 28 degrees.

Snow chances are also in the forecast Sunday as temperatures will drop below freezing for most of the day.

There’s a 60% chance for precipitation Sunday with a forecast high of 37 degrees.
