PHOENIX — It’s National Fried Chicken Day! So where will you be enjoying your favorite fried chicken wing or drumstick?
Last year, two Arizona eateries were ranked in the New York Daily News’ list of the top 75 fried chicken places in America.
Those two establishments were Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Cafe (No. 53) and Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles (No. 35).
And while the coronavirus pandemic may be limiting how and where to consume fried chicken, some of the best Valley spots are still offering takeout and delivery.
Lo-Lo’s is best known for its “hood classics” menu and cocktails served in mason jars.
The chicken and waffle chain has four Valley locations: two in Phoenix, one in Scottsdale and one in Gilbert.
Mrs. White’s, located on Seventh and Jefferson streets, has been serving Phoenicians for nearly 60 years.
The yellow-colored cafe tailors its chicken to represent more of an authentic, Texas-style flavor.
Just down the street is another spot to grab some of the best fried chicken the Valley has to offer.
Located on First Avenue and Jefferson Street, Monroe’s Hot Chicken offers traditional Nashville-style bites.
