PHOENIX – Here’s some good news for the new year if you’ve been wanting to play at Arizona’s first water park resort without springing for a room.
Great Wolf Lodge, which opened in Scottsdale in September, is now offering daily passes for its indoor heated water park facilities.
The resort at the Talking Stick Entertainment District near Loop 101 and Via de Ventura will sell a limited number of daily passes, depending on how many rooms are expected to be occupied, to keep the park from being overcrowded.
Previously, the park’s body slides, tube slides, raft rides, activity pools and splash areas were available only to overnight visitors to the 350-room hotel.
Plan ahead, because tickets, when available, must be purchased at least a day in advance. They can be ordered online or by calling 800-905-9653. The daily passes are not available at the resort.
Prices vary by day and time. The January and February rates listed online this week ranged from $30 for a full day and $25 for a half day (4 p.m. to close) for midweek slots to $90 for full days and $75 for half days on Saturdays.
Children ages 2 and under can get in for free with an adult pass holder.
