PHOENIX — Three Valley freeways will have closures this weekend as part of ongoing improvement projects, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Westbound Interstate 10 will be closed between 51st and 67th avenues in west Phoenix between 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday for construction of the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange.

The westbound I-10 on-ramps at 27th, 35th and 43rd avenues will also be closed for the project. The westbound I-10 off-ramp at 43rd Avenue will be closed, although for a separate widening project.

Westbound I-10 drivers in the Tucson/Casa Grande area not planning on stopping in Phoenix can avoid the closure by detouring on westbound Interstate 8 and northbound State Route 85 to I-10 in Buckeye, per ADOT.

The eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street in north Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work as part of a freeway widening project.

Both Interstate 17 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 will also be closed, as well as eastbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 19th Avenue, Seventh Avenue and Beardsley Road just east of 27th Avenue.

The northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be closed between Warner Road and the U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a freeway widening project.

All northbound Loop 101 on-ramps between Chandler Boulevard and U.S. 60 will be closed as a result, as will northbound Loop 101 ramps to U.S. 60.

Eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway will be closed overnight at Power Road in Mesa from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Friday night to Saturday morning and Saturday night to Sunday morning for pavement maintenance. The freeway will also be closed from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
