PHOENIX — Peoria on Monday will debut a new circulator bus route called Peoria on the Go.
The free to ride bus service in north Peoria will be provided every 30 minutes and operate Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Improving the connectivity of our community has been a goal of mine for many years, and I am thrilled to introduce the POGO as our latest addition to Peoria’s robust transportation network,” Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat said in a press release.
“Our city is fast growing and with the addition of POGO, our residents will have increased mobility to access even more areas of our remarkable community.”
Both the clockwise and counter-clockwise routes will begin and end at 83rd Avenue and Mariners Way, right near Peoria Sports Complex.
Points of interest along the 30-stop route include the P83 entertainment district, Arrowhead Transit Center and Sunrise and Liberty High Schools.
Riders can track their location and bus locations by downloading the POGO app, which is available on the Apple Store and Google Play.
