Missing Peoria man found alive, safe in California

PEORIA, Ariz. — A missing and endangered Peoria man has been found safe in California.

Patrick Lively, 26, was last seen near 8633 W. Bell Road on Friday, when he was supposed to meet someone for a ride. Lively has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old and was presumed to have wandered off.

Authorities learned on Saturday that a family member sent Lively a bus ticket to California without telling his caretaker. The police contacted the family member who confirmed he is there.

“They let us know that he is with them,” said Amanda Jacinto of the Peoria Police Department. “He apparently had a bus ticket and was able to safely get to that location.”
