PHOENIX — An Old Town Scottsdale restaurant has debuted a new rooftop bar.

The Social Tap Eatery at Drinkwater Boulevard and 5th Avenue opened The Balcony on Friday.

The rooftop wine and cocktail lounge will offer a more sophisticated, laid-back atmosphere in contrast to the Old Town restaurant, according to a press release.

The Balcony will offer guests “plush” lounge chairs, a DJ booth, a fireplace and views of Old Town Scottsdale.

The 1,800-square-foot space is also available for private bookings and parties.

“We couldn’t be more excited to unveil the Balcony to everyone. We have been working on this concept for a while now,” Steve McDonald, managing partner at Social Tap, said in the release.

“Old Town Scottsdale really needed a rooftop concept, so we knew we had to give everyone that open air hangout spot we all want.”

The Social Tap Eatery opened in Scottsdale in 2016.

The restaurant offers sports on its numerous flat-screen TVs and pub games on its patio.

According to the release, Social Tap Eatery features local craft beer and fresh, scratch-made recipes.
