PHOENIX — They’re going to have a little more fun on TV’s “The Voice” for the next three weeks. Arizona’s Nate Ruess, frontman of the band Fun, is joining the singing competition show as a special adviser.
Ruess tweeted out the news Monday.

The Glendale-bred Ruess will help out the vocalists once the knockout round begins March 23.
“It’s as good as golf,” Ruess said in a video.
Previous advisers have included Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Taylor Swift, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Miranda Lambert and Michael Buble.
Singers Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell and Christina Aguilera make up the regular panel.
Ruess’ band has been on break but he stayed busy with a solo project.
