PHOENIX — Two airlines will soon call a different terminal home at Phoenix Sky Harbor as the airport undergoes modernization.

Both Spirit and Sun Country airlines will shift from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2. Sun Country will move April 8 and Spirit will follow April 16.

Sky Harbor’s Terminal 3 is undergoing a large renovation. The first phase, which will be complete by mid-2016, includes an expanded security checkpoint, additional ticket counters and new baggage carousels. The next couple phases include the addition of new shops, restaurants and additional features, Sky Harbor spokeswoman Heather Lissner said.

The entire revamp is expected to be completed in 2020.
