PHOENIX — While the societal expectation is that people are supposed to wear pants in public, a handful of Valley residents traveled a little lighter this weekend with no repercussions outside of maybe an odd look or two.

According to the Phoenix New Times, AZ Improv’s annual No Pants Light Rail Ride kicked off Sunday — an event where all that’s needed apparently is “a light-rail pass and a lack of modesty.”

Participants of the free event, which was originally inspired by the New York-based Improv Everywhere in 2000, were eligible to start riding pantless at any Park & Ride location starting at 1:00 p.m.

According to the event’s Facebook page, 777 guests responded that they planned to attend, while 524 RSVP’d as a maybe.

We want to hear from you.
