PHOENIX — A list of the structures destroyed by the Yarnell Hill wildfire has been compiled, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
According to YCSO, 129 structures were lost in the fire that ripped through the town on Sunday and also claimed the lives of 19 hotshots.
Anyone who was evacuated from the area is asked to contact YCSO at (928) 777-7481 to see if a structure they own is on the list. Officials will be collecting information from those who did own a structure that was lost.
Just two of the structures lost were in Peeples Valley. The rest were within the community of Yarnell.
The fire has burned about 8,400 acres and is 8 percent contained.
