Two Arizona emergency response services will wear pink throughout the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Rural/Metro Fire Department is letting employees wear shirts with pink lettering while Southwest Ambulance has specially covered two of its vehicles.

“This fight is personal to many of our employees since they represent those who are touched by breast cancer”, said Holly Walter, public information officer for Southwest Ambulance. “Breast cancer affects our employees as providers, survivors and supporters of loved ones lost.”

Both organizations are asking for users to submit photos of them wearing pink via Facebook.

In addition to the visible commemorations, Southwest will also be providing services for several breast cancer events, including the three-day breast cancer walk.

We want to hear from you.
