PHOENIX – The holidays will be happier for someone in metro Phoenix whose lottery ticket paid out $305,000.

The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous permanently, claimed their prize Tuesday morning, an Arizona Lottery spokesman told KTAR News 92.3 FM.

The winning Fantasy 5 ticket for last Saturday’s draw was purchased at a Fry’s Food Store in Goodyear near Sarival Avenue and Yuma Road.

The lucky jackpot numbers were 19, 21, 22, 23 and 29.

There’s another Arizona ticket floating around that is an even bigger pay day but time is running out for the would-be collector.

Claims on a $1 million Powerball win will expire Nov. 18. That ticket was sold at a Circle K near Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard on May 22 and matched five out of five numbers but didn’t match the red Powerball to hit the jackpot.

The uncashed ticket hit on 3, 19, 27, 37 and 40 but missed the Powerball of 8, which would have been good for a $218 million jackpot.

Nearly 40% of $16.5 million in unclaimed money in fiscal year 2021 was donated to various associations and programs, including Internet Crimes Against Children task force and Court Appointed Special Advocates.

The remaining unclaimed funds were used on future drawings and games.
