PHOENIX – West Valley heat freaks have another place to get their food fix.

The Buffalo Spot, a fast-casual chain that sauces up more than just chicken, opened its eighth metro Phoenix location Tuesday in Goodyear at Litchfield and Indian School roads.

With that name, you know hot wings are on the menu. But the restaurant’s biggest draw is a concoction of breaded chicken breast piled on a French fry base and spiced up with Buffalo sauce.

“Our Buffalo fries are 60 to 70% of our sales,” Kevin Burke, the Surprise resident who owns new location, said in a city of Goodyear press release. “They’re very, very delicious. We get comments all the time.”

For an extra kick and crunch, you can add Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to the mix.

The Buffalo Spot offers 13 sauce choices, with heat levels ranging from mild to atomic and non-spicy options such as honey BBQ and teriyaki.

The menu also has salads, wraps, breadsticks and milkshakes.

“It’s going to have kind of a sports bar atmosphere,” Burke said in a Goodyear Department of Economic Development write-up. “We’ll have TVs showing sports most of the time. We hope to get a beer/wine license eventually.”

The Buffalo Spot debuted in California in 2013 and has grown to 31 locations in California, Arizona and Texas.

We want to hear from you.
