PHOENIX — Another round of closures on Interstate 10 in West Phoenix highlight a busy weekend of road restrictions throughout the Valley.
Eastbound I-10 will be closed between 67th and 51st avenues between 9 p.m. Friday and 10 p.m. Sunday for bridge work at the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange.
The eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 83rd, 79th and 75th avenues will also be closed during that time.
Motorists traveling within the Phoenix area can use northbound and eastbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway in the West Valley to avoid the closures.
Those continuing beyond Phoenix can use southbound State Route 85 in Buckeye to eastbound Interstate 8 to reach eastbound I-10 in the Casa Grande area.
The weekend may almost be here, but our rundown of weekend freeway restrictions is out now. Expect closures on EB I-10, WB L-101 Pima and NB L-101 Price. Read the full list here: https://t.co/TGtmBUwBx9 pic.twitter.com/3q964Sxjwv

In the East Valley, the northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be closed between Loop 202 Santan Freeway and Warner Road from 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday for a freeway widening project.
All Loop 202 ramps to northbound Loop 101 in Chandler will also be closed.
In Mesa, the eastbound Loop 202 will be closed at Power Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday for pavement maintenance. The same closure is also scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights.
In another restriction related to South Mountain Freeway construction, Desert Foothills Parkway will be closed between Glenhaven Drive and Pecos Road in Ahwatukee between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday for Loop 202 construction.
The South Mountain Freeway, expected to be completed in 2020, will be a 22-mile link between the East Valley and West Valley and provide a much-needed alternative to I-10 through downtown Phoenix.
