PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey ordered on Saturday that all state office building flags are to be at half-staff until sunset on Tuesday in honor of the mass-shooting victims in Virginia Beach, Va.
City officials said that 11 city employees that included one contractor were amongst the 12 people killed in the shooting at a Virginia Beach municipal building on Friday.
Ducey’s order was in coordination with President Donald Trump’s proclamation, Ducey’s office said in a statement.
The Arizona governor expressed sympathy for all those that have been affected by the shooting.
Ducey also thanked the first responders and said that Arizona is praying for Virginia Beach.
