Northbound I-17 reopened at Loop 101 following police activity in Phoenix

PHOENIX – Northbound Interstate 17 has been reopened at the Loop 101.
UPDATE: I-17 NB is being opened up at the L-101. Crews are picking up the closure now on I-17 and the EB/WB L-101 ramps. Drivers should continue to expect delays in the area while the closure is being opened and traffic begins to flow normally. #phxtraffic pic.twitter.com/Mh0P49UglL

Northbound I-17 was closed for police activity Friday, wreaking havoc on rush-hour traffic in north Phoenix, authorities said
All traffic had to exit at Rose Garden Lane beginning around 4 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. About an hour later, the closure was extended south to Loop 101.
The ramps from Loop 101 to northbound I-17 also were closed.
Vehicles were permitted to enter the freeway at Deer Valley Road.
Drivers were asked to delay travel or use alternate routes.
There was no indication how long the freeway would remain closed.
Southbound traffic wasn’t affected.
