Weekend Valley freeway restrictions for Aug. 1-4

PHOENIX — Some popular highways will be closed this weekend in the Valley. Drivers should take alternate routes or plan for small delays as they pass construction zones.

• Northbound Loop 101 will be closed between Thunderbird and Bell roads in Peoria from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday.

• Northbound Loop 101 will be closed between Union Hills Drive and 75th Avenue in Glendale from 10 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday.

• Eastbound Interstate 10 will be down to one lane overnight between Wild Horse Pass Boulevard and Queen Creek Road from 9:00 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Saturday and from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday.
