Fire consumes one home, two backyards in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A fire caused significant damage to two central Phoenix properties Saturday.
Phoenix Fire Cpt. Aaron Ernsberger said multiple firefighters worked to extinguish a blaze that completely consumed one home, two backyards and several outbuildings near 16th Street and McDowell Road.
Ernsberger said fire crews prevented a neighboring home from catching fire as well.
No injuries were reported. Ernsberger said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
