PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey had plans for a day at the border Tuesday, a visit that included tours of facilities and an entry port and a dedication ceremony.
Besides an hourslong stop in Nogales with Ambassador Roberta Jacobson, the governor was also going to Sierra Vista for a tour of the Fort Huachuca Army base.

In between he had a luncheon scheduled with Jacobson and Custom and Border Protection Director William Brooks.
The Mariposa port is the only one on the border with the unified cargo inspection process. That program launched in August and was designed to speed up transit time of international cargo.
Ducey said it was his 24th trip to southern Arizona.
