4 people shot in Avondale apartment complex

PHOENIX — Avondale police responded Sunday to a major crime scene near 111th Avenue and Van Buren Street at an apartment complex.

Around 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning, gunfire rang out at Versante Luxury Apartments. Four adults were hit; two were critically injured.

Police said all four are in stable condition.

Detectives have been talking with witnesses and victims, but Sgt. Brandon Busse tells said they’re not cooperating.

“It is frustrating, especially since we’re trying to do the right thing and figure out what’s going on,” Busse said.

Avondale police have no information on a suspect, but detectives will continue to question witnesses.
