KTAR raises more than $1.4 million for Phoenix Children’s Hospital

Aug 27, 2015, 2:57 PM | Updated: 8:36 pm

Last week, at our annual Give-A-Thon, we’re proud to say we raised more than $1.4 million for Phoenix Children’s Hospital in just two days.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised $1,477,074 during a 19-hour radio simulcast on KTAR News 92.3, Arizona Sports 98.7 and ESPN Phoenix 620. Be sure to watch the video above to see what it means for some of our hosts to participate in the Give-A-Thon every year.

The Give-A-Thon for Phoenix Children’s featured emotional, real-life stories about the children and families whose lives are forever changed by the care they receive at the hospital, which regularly receives high national rankings for a variety of pediatric services.

Give-A-Thon sponsors also raised record amounts for the event this year. They included The Valley Hyundai Dealers, CenturyLink Business, Wells Fargo, Carl’s Junior, The UPS Store, ACE, Papa John’s, Just Sports and CVS Pharmacy.

Funds raised during Give-A-Thon benefit the Hospital’s Hope Fund, which helps the hospital fund research, new clinical programs, technology, recruit world-renowned physicians, fund child-and family-friendly services and ensure that each and every child who needs care in our community receives it.
