SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — An estranged wife of polygamist leader Lyle Jeffs plans to testify against the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and two polygamist towns on the Utah-Arizona line.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1FPBzGO ) that Charlene Jeffs will testify in the U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit against Hildale, Utah and Colorado City, Arizona. The lawsuit accuses the towns, collectively known as Short Creek, of discriminating against non-FLDS residents.

Charlene Jeffs, who is Lyle Jeffs legal wife, will use her own child-custody case as an example of unconstitutional conduct.

A motion filed to add Charlene Jeffs as a witness also asks to add Sabrina Broadbent Tetzner, a woman who left the sect and was seen on video trying to retrieve her children from FLDS members, and Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputy Taylor Nelson.
