Oct 4, 2013, 12:26 PM | Updated: 12:26 pm

PHOENIX — A Valley high school was put on lockdown Friday because of police activity in the area.

Police said there was a home invasion near the school. It is believed that juveniles were involved and a perimeter was established to try to catch them.

The suspects are not believed to be dangerous nor are they believed to be on school grounds.

The school had its annual homecoming assembly Friday prior to the lockdown.

The lockdown was lifted about 12:25 p.m.

Ironwood High School is located on 59th Avenue between Thunderbird and Cactus roads in Glendale, Ariz.
